The Digest

I love pizza. I have had some great pizza in my life but I honestly enjoy most pizzas. I am still searching for the best pizza in our area. This led me to research who actually has the best pizza around Pensacola according to local ratings.

I pulled together Google reviews first (ratings and how many people left them), then cross-checked with Yelp, TripAdvisor, local “best of” lists, tourism sites, and a bunch of local food chatter. I didn’t just look at star ratings, the volume of ratings mattered a lot. A place with 1,000+ solid reviews carries more weight than a newer spot with a perfect score and 80 reviews.

This includes Pensacola, the Beach, Gulf Breeze, Pace, Milton, and nearby areas.

Here’s the top six that kept rising to the top. I’ve also created a list of the top 10 so you can vote for yourself (use the poll below). If you have one that we did not mention, email us at [email protected] to let us know.

1. New Yorker Deli & Pizzeria (Pensacola)

This one kept winning no matter how I sliced it. Huge Google review volume, consistently strong ratings, and it’s one of those places everyone seems to have ordered from at least once. Classic New York–style pizza, no gimmicks, very dependable.

2. Sky’s Pizza Pie (Pensacola / Pace)

Sky’s shows up everywhere. Tons of Google reviews, great ratings, and a lot of “this is our go-to” comments. If you like traditional pizza done right, Sky’s is almost never controversial — which honestly says a lot in pizza debates. (We do meet friends here often)

3. East Hill Pizza (Pensacola)

Fewer total reviews than the top two, but exceptionally high ratings across Google and Yelp. Locals rave about it, and it’s often the answer when someone asks “best pizza” in neighborhood threads.

4. O’Zone Pizza Pub (Pensacola)

Pizza + pub + downtown energy. O’Zone scored well across Google and Yelp and benefits from being a place people go and talk about. The atmosphere helps, but the pizza stands on its own. This is another regular for us. We like to take visitors and wander the old hospital.

5. The Reef (Pensacola Beach)

We find that beach pizza can be hit or miss. The Reef has strong Google ratings and volume and consistently comes out on top for beach-area spots. It shows up a lot in “where should we eat after the beach?” searches.

6. Graffiti Pizza (Pensacola)

Graffiti might not be everyone’s personal #1, but it’s one of the most visible and frequently reviewed pizza places in town. Solid ratings, big review count, and a lot of downtown traffic keep it firmly in the top tier when you look at all the data together.

Car Talk

With David and Drew from East Bay Automotive

This week David and Drew talked about something they see often—customers heading to quick-lube facilities because they’re fast, cheap, and convenient.

“While it can feel like you’re saving time and money, in many cases you get exactly what you pay for. Coupon chasing and choosing the cheapest automotive option isn’t always the best move when you’re dealing with what is really an automotive investment.

Speed is a big part of the problem. Proper service takes time, and oil changes are a good example. Oil needs time to fully drain, and some vehicles—especially diesels—can take 30 to 45 minutes to do it right. When the process is rushed, old oil can remain in the engine. Many of these facilities also use the cheapest oil filters available, which can restrict oil flow. With newer vehicles, you may even get a warning light or fault code right away, if oil flow isn’t what it should be.

These places also push what is commonly referred to as “gravy work.” These are quick, high-margin add-on services like engine air filters, brake flushes, or power steering services that are often recommended whether they’re truly needed or not. We regularly see vehicles come in after this type of work was done elsewhere, only to find the original concern was never properly diagnosed or addressed—and now unnecessary services have been layered on top of it.

Brakes are another area where cutting corners can be costly. We see cases where shops perform a “pad slap,” replacing brake pads only, using cheaper materials, and skipping proper rotor service. A quality brake job should include turning the rotors or replacing them with premium rotors, along with high-quality pads designed to work together. In fact, some manufacturers don’t recommend turning rotors at all. Be cautious of a $199 brake job.

When it comes to components like brakes and tires, saving $30 or $50 isn’t worth it. These parts have a major impact on safety, performance, and reliability. Spending a little more upfront on quality parts and proper service can save you far more in the long run.”

If you have any questions, or need advice, give David or Drew a call at (850) 665-4302. They would be happy to see you or your vehicle. Visit - East Bay Automotive (Google Maps) or their website East Bay Automotive Website.
